Gerson Relocation People
At Gerson Relocation we encourage and support colleagues to participate in activities that benefit and improve the communities in which we work and live and promote voluntary work by allowing staff to take paid time off in the support of worthy causes. One of Gerson Relocation's Key Account Managers, Alastair Cowan, deicided to use this intiative to support a project to impove the gardens of a local Community Centre. The project was supported by a number of companies from the Relocation community who pulled together to help make a difference.
"I would like to thank everybody for the excellent work and the two challenging and inspirational days to transform the Hatfield Community Centre's outdoor spaces. I want to say special thanks to Chrissy who introduced us to this local community, Graham of the Scouts for his commitment and the great help, Tony (the chairmain of the centre) who believed in us, Katarina of the Relocate Magazine who linked us with the corporate volunteers, John and Kashina of the Employability service of Catch22 in Barking who offered a great opportunity to young people, my colleagues at Catch22 and the people of the Community Centre commitee.
Above all, I want to say THANK you to 44 volunteers of all ages who supported us to offer fresh and colourful greening area for the whole community to enjoy. I really loved the feedback on the first day Katarina of the Relocate magazine wrote on their magazine about their voluntary experience with us. Katarina's article can be accessed here.
Stay in touch as there will be more initiatives and space improvements happening in the Borough and don't forget please to vote for Community Space Challenge on the Big Lottery! It takes only one minute."
